This Phoenix tourist trap is called “Hole in the Rock”, the most prominent icon in Papago Park. The Hohokam Indians who graced the area thousands of years ago noticed the rays of sunlight passing through the chamber hole & used it to mark solstices & equinoxes year round. It’s a steep but uber short hike (.03mi) that’s perfect for kiddos & nature lovers who want a unique view overlooking the city.
With temps hitting 70°s this week, safe to say we made the most of our #azwinters! Sending you warm thoughts & hope you visit soon fam!
